Method
Step 1
- Add the white vinegar, olive oil, and water to a medium mixing bowl. Stir gently to combine the liquids.

Step 2
- Add the lemon juice to the mixture and stir again until lightly blended.

Step 3
- Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4
- Whisk everything together until the dressing looks smooth and the seasonings are evenly distributed.

Step 5
- Pour the dressing into a jar with a tight lid. Shake the jar for about 10 seconds to combine everything well.

Step 6
- Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Step 7
- Shake the jar again before serving and drizzle over salads or use as a marinade.

Notes
- Always shake the jar before serving because oil and vinegar naturally separate.
- For a sweeter dressing, add 1 teaspoon extra sugar.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese gives the dressing a smoother texture and richer flavor.
- This dressing can also be used as a marinade for chicken, shrimp, or roasted vegetables.
