Step 1
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously for 2–3 minutes until it turns light golden brown.

- Slowly pour in about 1/2 cup of beef broth while whisking constantly until smooth and lump-free.

- Gradually add the remaining beef broth, continuing to whisk to keep the gravy smooth.

Step 4
- Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup or tomato paste, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.

Step 5
- Cook for about 5 minutes until thickened. If needed, add a cornstarch slurry while whisking, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.

Notes
- Add broth slowly to prevent lumps.
- Use good-quality broth for better flavor.
- If gravy becomes too thick, add a little broth while reheating.
- Best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
